Arizona is among 15 states that have laws permitting eligible patients to consume medicinal marijuana for the treatment of approved conditions and terminal illnesses. Eligibility for a marijuana recommendation depends upon both type and severity of an illness, and all patients must first speak with a physician to determine if medical marijuana is the right treatment for them.
Patients all across Arizona are eligible to apply for a medical marijuana identification card. That means that card holders have access to the medical marijuana offered by dispensaries, co-ops and other entities such as caregivers, to qualifying patients. In order to be able to apply you need to fall under the category of ‘eligible patient’ suffering from one of the 12 debilitating medical conditions specified in the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act.
If your illness qualifies you to receive medical marijuana in the state of Arizona, there are a number of important steps you must follow to receiving a card.
The Arizona Hemp Center can help facilitate interested patients with free pre-evaluations for medical marijuana, and also connect them with doctors who can write them a recommendation. Learn more by contacting our team.
